Golem, 51, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and interfering with a corpse in connection with the death of 69-year-old Tomislav Nemes. Reports indicate that Golem misled his mother, Dragica Nemes, into believing her husband was merely resting, allowing her to continue sleeping beside his mummified remains for months.
The grim discovery of Nemes’ body occurred during a welfare check in April 2023, after his daughters expressed concern over their father’s prolonged silence. According to court documents, Tomislav had been bedridden following a fall and had fallen into a coma around February 24, 2022.
