A chilling discovery in Lake Mattoon, Illinois, has led to serious charges against two individuals after a human arm was found floating in the water. The unsettling incident unfolded on June 28 when a family out boating made the grim find, initially mistaking the arm for a dead fish.
Sammy Flynn, one of the boaters, recounted the eerie moment when her father asked her to prod the object with an oar. As she got closer, she realized, “That’s not a fish, guys. I’m pretty sure that’s a human arm.” This 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 revelation prompted the family to alert authorities.

Authorities identified the victim as 38-year-old Dalewayne Turner, thanks to distinctive tattoos on the arm. Investigators swiftly named two suspects: 62-year-old Robin Turner and 26-year-old James Adams. A search warrant executed at their residence reportedly uncovered further evidence linked to the crime.
On July 2, both Robin Turner and Adams were charged with concealment of a homicide and dismembering a human corpse. According to court documents, Adams, who is allegedly the half-brother of the victim, is accused of fatally stabbing Dalewayne in the basement of their home before dismembering the body and placing it in a trash bag. Reports suggest that Robin assisted in the dismemberment and disposal process.
