Russian drone and missile strikes hit farms, Naftogaz facilities, and Sumy in 24-hour assault across Ukraine
Cluster warheads, FPV drones, Herberia strikes: Russia targets Ukrainian farms and energy infrastructure in 24-hour wave
A Russian drone struck a business in Chernihiv Oblast on the morning of 27 June, damaging warehouse and utility buildings, Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration head Viacheslav Chaus reported on Telegram.
The previous evening, a 57-year-old civilian man was wounded in Semenivka after an FPV drone strike. He was hospitalised; his vehicle was also damaged, Chaus wrote.
Earlier the same day, Russian forces used a “Herberia”-type drone to attack a farm in a village of Horodnia community. The roof caught fire. Late in the evening, strikes hit a business in Horodnia itself, starting a fire and damaging a truck.
A cargo vehicle was damaged by a drone strike in a village of Novhorod-Siverskyi community in the evening. Separately, a grain barn and a local shop were hit in another village that morning.
“There were again many FPV drones in the border area. A total of 47 shelling incidents over 24 hours,” Chaus wrote.
Naftogaz facilities struck in Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts
At least four ballistic missiles — including ones fitted with cluster warheads — along with drones struck Naftogaz Group production facilities in Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts over two days, the company’s board chair Serhii Koretskyi said on Facebook on 27 June.
A shuttle bus carrying workers from one of the facilities was damaged during the strikes.
“The people were not hurt, fortunately,” Koretskyi wrote.
“We have destruction; assessment of the consequences of the attack is ongoing. Thanks to the systematic security measures taken, none of our colleagues were injured,” he added.
13 injured in Sumy, including 2 children
Russian strikes on Sumy on the morning of 27 June wounded 13 people, including two children, the State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported.
The strikes damaged a five-storey residential building, private homes, and civilian vehicles in the regional centre. The regional military administration said the injuries were not serious.
