Ukraine wipes out 60,000 tons of ammo near St Petersburg in devastating attack

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the Baltic Fleet’s arsenal near St. Petersburg Russia, destroying over 60,000 tons of ammunition.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack on Wednesday, attributing the attack to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Zelensky also said Ukrainian strikes hit Russian facilities producing radio electronics and other critical military components.
“First of all, we discussed the implementation of the plan for our long-range sanctions against Russia for this war and the steps necessary to bring peace closer. In particular, among the recent effective strikes on the territory of Russia, it is worth noting the liquidation of more than 60,000 tonnes of ammunition at the Baltic Fleet arsenal near St. Petersburg,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram on Wednesday. “In addition, the analysis conducted by military intelligence confirmed the achievement of the necessary targets from the list of Russian military productions. The Defense Forces of Ukraine accurately struck Russian enterprises that produce radio electronics and other critical components for the needs of the Russian army,” Zelensky said. It comes after Donald Trump reportedly tried to access the US nuclear launch codes — until one man stopped him.
Zelensky also blamed the Russian leadership’s “refusal” of diplomacy for prolonging the war. “It is important that the understanding reaches as many Russians as possible that the war is being dragged out precisely by the refusal of the Russian leadership from diplomacy. Ukraine has provided substantive diplomatic proposals,” Zelensky said.
He added that Ukrainian intelligence services obtained internal Russian documents that assessed the impact of Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions.”

“Measures taken by the Russian leadership in response to the situation have also been documented. One such measure is the redeployment of air defense systems from Russian regions to Moscow and to the Kerch Bridge. Basically, these are the two perimeters the Russians have been ordered to protect by weakening other areas on their own territory and in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. We will draw the necessary conclusions.”
Wednesday’s attack follows last week’s blow to Moscow, as the capital city was left reeling last Thursday following Ukraine’s largest attack of the war so far.
Vladimir Putin’s air defense system failed to protect the city from the Ukrainian drone swarm, leaving it billowing in smoke.
“No one has ever bombed Moscow like this before,” reported Ukrainian channel Exilenova+. The Moscow Oil Refinery at Kapotnya – one of the biggest in Russia and partially damaged in an attack earlier last week – was repeatedly hit.
