Federal prosecutors have alleged that Pooh Shiesty, born Lantrell Denell Williams Jr., orchestrated an armed robbery and kidnapping of his former label boss, Gucci Mane, in a Dallas recording studio on January 10, 2026. According to testimony from FBI Special Agent Hobbs, the rapper allegedly invited Gucci Mane to a meeting under the pretense of a business discussion.
Once inside a private control room, an argument erupted, and Pooh Shiesty is accused of instructing associate Big 30 to retrieve a bag containing an AK-style pistol. The rapper then allegedly pointed the weapon at Gucci Mane and demanded he sign documents releasing Pooh Shiesty from his contract with 2017 Records. Big 30 is also accused of recording the incident on his phone while Gucci Mane was held at gunpoint. Witnesses testified that Pooh Shiesty then removed jewelry from Gucci Mane, including chains and earrings, before the studio doors were barricaded.
Nine people were taken into custody following the incident, including Pooh Shiesty, Big 30, and Lantrell Williams Sr., Pooh Shiesty’s father. The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas stated that the victims had come to Dallas for legitimate business and were met with violence. Lantrell Williams Sr. was initially granted a $250,000 bond but prosecutors immediately filed a motion to revoke it, arguing he was a flight risk.
